Buying custom shower hardware shouldn’t feel like a black box. This page walks through exactly what happens between your first message and a container at your door — who does what, and how long each stage takes. A transparent process is how we keep schedules tight and surprises out.

Stage-by-Stage at a Glance
*Stage durations reflect real industry benchmarks from peer manufacturers’ published specs (sample 5–7 days, mass production 20–35 days). Verify exact timeline with Zimmor’s factory before publishing.
What You Prepare vs What We Deliver
- •
You provide: drawing/sample, target finish, volume, destination.
- •
We deliver: DFM feedback, sample, inspected production, packed shipment, documents.
Common Snags (and How to Avoid Them)
- •
Unclear finish → send a chip or code up front.
- •
Late design change → lock the sample before mass run.
- •
Tight deadline → tell us the hard date; we’ll propose air or courier.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the total lead time?
From approved sample, mass production is 20–35 days, plus transit. Add sample time (5–7 days) and DFM if the part is new. Plan from your hard deadline backward.
Can I change the design mid-way?
Ideally before mass production. Changes after tooling or during a run add time and cost — the sample stage exists to lock it.
Is rush production available?
Often, yes — tell us the date and volume and we’ll propose the fastest viable route (including air freight).
