How We Decide CNC vs Die-Casting

Not every part should be CNC’d. The rule of thumb:

  • Choose CNC when tolerances are tight, volumes are low–mid, or the shape is complex.
  • Choose die-casting when volumes are high and the geometry allows it, to cut unit cost.

From a single prototype to production runs. There is no hard minimum — small batches are exactly what CNC is good at, which is why we use it for sampling and low-volume custom parts.

Can you machine complex or thin-wall shapes?

Yes. Multi-axis centers handle complex geometry and thin walls that die-casting struggles with. Send the model and we’ll tell you what’s feasible.

How do you verify tolerance?

Incoming material is spectro-checked, first articles are inspected against the drawing, and in-process checks run at each station. Critical dimensions are measured before release.
